In the past six months Hopelessly In June has screened at three Los Angeles area film festivals (Dances With Films, Temecula Valley International, and Hollywood Film Festival) to packed audiences. As we enter the New Year, we’ll be screening at another two! Very few films have the honor of screening in their hometown area multiple times. We are extremely proud and grateful that our film is screening again and this time, as an opening night film and Big 8 selection at the San Diego Black Film Festival! More info from the SDBFF site:
The San Diego Black Film Foundation is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of African American and African Diaspora cinema as well as the education of media arts. Held each year in late January, the San Diego Black Film Festival is one of the largest black film festivals in the country. More info here.
What is the BIG 8 FILMS? It is our pick of what we believe will be the 8 biggest films of the festival in terms of strength, and subject matter. Essentially, if a film makes this list, you can rest assured of its powerful subject matter, film quality and blockbuster feel. More info here.
Hopelessly In June screens Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 8pm immediately following the Opening Reception at the Reading Gaslamp 15 located at 701 5th Ave. San Diego, CA 92101.
