A little background: Last year I got a tweet from Casting Director, Laurie Records, who recommended me to someone on Twitter looking for female directors. I had just directed SOLO Ep 3 which you can see here. Turns out, Laurie was replying to Brandi Ford, actress and producer who was about to embark on her very own original web show, Diary of a Wedding Planner.
Brandi and I met for coffee and from there she decided to have me direct upcoming episodes of the show – Episode 3: Always a Planner, Never a Bride, Episodes 4 and 5: Crazy Consults Part 1 and 2. Months later Brandi was ready to cast the episodes. We saw a bunch of talented actors in a full day of auditions and we chose Brandee Tucker and Jason Hudson to add to the cast! I also brought in friend and colleague, Jorge Urbina, as a Director of Photography to shoot the episodes.
This Week: We just wrapped production on the three episodes and it was a ton of fun! We shot for two days and had a blast with all of the actors and crew involved. Huge thanks to Brandi Ford for letting me be a part of the show! Great job to our crew: Jorge Urbina, Greg & Lex of Longlost Pictures, Jack King and Rafael Kajatt and the many others who pitched in to make the shoot a success!
